1. Agreement to Terms & Service Description

Service Agreement

By accessing or using HashMama's cryptographic education platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, effective as of January 24, 2024. Our services include:

• Cryptographic Tools: Interactive hash function calculators, collision analysis, and blockchain exploration tools
• Educational Content: Comprehensive tutorials, documentation, and learning resources on cryptography
• Research Platform: Access to cryptographic research tools and academic collaboration features
• Professional Services: Custom cryptographic implementations and security consulting (by separate agreement)

Service Scope: All cryptographic operations performed client-side using Web Crypto API. No sensitive data transmitted to our servers.

2. Intellectual Property & Educational Content

Content Ownership & Licensing

HashMama maintains intellectual property rights while promoting open cryptographic education:

• Platform Code: HashMama's proprietary software, algorithms, and user interface remain our intellectual property
• Educational Content: Tutorials, documentation, and learning materials licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0
• Research Publications: Academic papers and cryptographic research available under open access licenses
• User Contributions: Student projects and community contributions remain user property with attribution rights

License Terms: Educational content may be freely used, modified, and distributed with proper attribution to HashMama LLC.

3. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use

Professional Conduct Standards

As users of a professional cryptographic education platform, you agree to maintain high standards of conduct:

• Educational Purpose: Use our tools and resources solely for educational, research, and legitimate cryptographic applications
• Academic Integrity: Maintain honesty in coursework, research, and collaborative projects
• Security Awareness: Use cryptographic knowledge responsibly and ethically
• Professional Standards: Respect intellectual property and contribute positively to the cryptographic community

Prohibited Uses: Any attempt to use our tools for malicious purposes, unauthorized access, or violation of applicable laws is strictly prohibited.

4. Service Availability & Technical Support

Platform Reliability & Support

HashMama commits to maintaining high service availability and providing comprehensive technical support:

• Uptime Commitment: 99.9% service availability with scheduled maintenance windows
• Technical Support: Email support within 24 hours, priority support for educational institutions
• Documentation: Comprehensive API documentation, tutorials, and troubleshooting guides
• Community Support: Active user forums and collaborative learning environments

Support Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Mountain Time (MST/MDT). Emergency support available for critical issues.

5. Payment Terms & Service Agreements

Financial Terms & Conditions

For premium services and custom implementations, the following payment terms apply:

• Educational Access: Core cryptographic tools and tutorials available free of charge
• Premium Services: Advanced features, custom implementations, and consulting services require separate agreements
• Payment Terms: Net 30 for consulting services, advance payment for custom development projects
• Late Fees: 1.5% monthly interest on overdue balances after 30 days

Service Agreements: Custom implementations and consulting services require detailed statements of work with specific deliverables and timelines.

6. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers

Legal Protections & User Acknowledgment

Important legal disclaimers and liability limitations for our educational platform:

• Educational Purpose: Our tools are designed for educational use and should not be used in production systems without proper validation
• No Guarantees: We do not guarantee specific educational outcomes or cryptographic security levels
• Liability Limit: HashMama's liability limited to the amount paid for premium services, not exceeding $5,000
• Indemnification: Users agree to indemnify HashMama against claims arising from misuse of our tools

Legal Notice: These terms are governed by Wyoming law. Any disputes resolved through binding arbitration in Sheridan County.

7. Termination & Service Modifications

Service Continuity & Changes

Terms governing service modifications and account termination:

• Service Updates: Platform improvements and new features added regularly without additional cost
• Policy Changes: 30-day advance notice for significant terms modifications with opportunity for user feedback
• Account Termination: Users may terminate accounts at any time; HashMama may terminate for terms violations
• Data Retention: Educational data retained for 30 days post-termination for recovery purposes

Continuity: Free educational access maintained for all users regardless of account status changes.

8. Academic & Research Collaboration

Educational Partnerships & Research

Special terms for academic institutions and research collaborations:

• Academic Licensing: Special licensing terms for educational institutions and research organizations
• Research Partnerships: Collaborative research projects with universities and cryptographic research groups
• Publication Rights: Research findings published with proper attribution and open access principles
• Student Projects: Support for academic projects and cryptographic competitions
